Factory Service Manual
Can any of you guys who are dealers supply one of these? They're not available in the UK but previously, I've been able to get them in the US because the Freedom of Information Act (apparently) does not allow restricted distribution.

blueSL Didn`t u get one with the car when u bought it? Seems like after spending that much money your dealership should be able to supply u with most anything u ask for!

No! I didn't even get a bunch of flowers or the bottle of Champagne which I got when I bought my Ferrari. In fact, I sent the salesman and his manager a case of wine each for getting me the car so quickly!!
I'm still trying to get to the bottom of how to wire in accessories according to the method recommended in the user manual - using a "wiring harness connection point" but no one seems to know anything about it - dealers, Mercedes in the UK, Mercedes in Germany. Hopeless. All I've discovered is that the thing I'm asking about in German is "Bordnetzstützpunkt"
I've taken off the end panel off the dash and also the panel above the driver's knee and you get a good view of what's there, though how some of the parts in there can be replaced without major surgery, I have no idea. Lots of anonymous looking electronic modules. The cables are much smaller in diameter than in other cars and tightly bundled into the wiring loom and no obvious break out points for connecting accessories.
If all else fails, I'll use an existing screw for a grounding point and run a wire to the fuse box through the bulkhead, but if there's a preferred way of doing it, I'd like to use that.
