I have Quaife. Installed by Sunil (sunman). Great product, great installation. The car really needed this upgrade IMO.

So im planning on getting a K2 package and johnson i/c pump. Am i wasting my time without putting an LSD in as well? I will probably put an lsd in eventually with some other mods, but i might revise the order im doing these mods based on your guys feedback. o yeah, i drive an 03 e55.

If you do get LSD and you notice a big difference I will be sold! hehe
on a more serious note lots of people i respected on this forum say to get this. I know vadim always says it is his first to do mod.

how much does the Quaife LSD run for by the way?

Have not noticed any downside yet.
Improves traction greatly, and ESP kicks in later.

Have Kleemann LSD installed.

With any performance upgrade, you will have more trouble getting the tires to stick. LSD helps with that problem. That doesn't mean it will still not spin the tires. Just not as much and when they do, they spin together instead of one spinnng and the other doing nothing to move the car. I paid about 2500-2600 installed if I remember right.

LSD's are great....especially in hard cornering situations, when you are really pushing it. As great as they are, I think that the average driver will have a hard time telling that there is any difference at all.

Having said that, when I am at the track, I can definitely accelerate sooner and harder out of corners, and most cars with a LSD feel more sure footed and connected (at the limit), to me.

i thought that quaife had life time warranty, I haven't ever heard of one being destroyed even on fairly extreme builds.
