Ohh just like your HP claims for you ECU tune!

LOL!

You have 30 days to find out if you are satisfied or not.

Haha. Yeah but you'll also gain about 40hp so you can't go by that either

OK guys, I am the tactical Doc for a local swat/tactical team and on a secluded controlled setting I hit 202mph confirmed by (Dr Evils voice "Laser"). Deny all you want. Take a nice little trip south and I will set you up a showing, and my setup is Veloce tune, renntech headers, carbon fiber airbox, dedenbear IC pump, IC upgrade, HRE 20's with Vredestien 295/25/20's.

Hi Dino, I was just interested in the size and make of the tyres you are using. Mentioning that you had exceeded 200mph has certainly provoked quite a response!
Anyway I hope we can get back to the subject of this thread i.e suspension lowering.

Just using the car's setup and not taking into account if it even has enough HP to do the job it doesnt work...

Final Drive Ratio: 2.82:1
RPM limit: 6,500RPM

Rolling diameter in inches
--------------------------
275/40ZR-18 rear tires = 275 * 0.40 = 109.6 * 2 (top and bottom sidewall) = 219.2mm

219.2mm/24.5mm per inch = 8.947in + 18in tire = 26.946in rolling diameter

max mph = (rpm x tire diameter)/ gear ratio x 336
max mph = (6500 x 26.946) / (2.82 x 336)
max mph = 175149/947.52
max mph = 184.85

I'd love to see an SL55 go over 185mph in stock configuration.

Did I miss something in the math?
Flaws with your math:
1. We use 285/35-18 rears; some up to 295/35-18
2. Final drive on our cars is 2.62 or 2.65, I don't remember off the top of my head. Either way, it is not 2.82, which is used on the standard SL500 only.
3. If I am not mistaken, the final drive is for the 1:1 gear, and we have an overdrive 5th.

SL55 has a 2.82

E55 has 2.65

AMG had to slow the E down with the lower Rear End.

Had both and the shift points are different and I read the numbers off the diff housings as well.
