Is It Possible ???
Does anyone here know if its possible to convert the sl 55 auto tranny too 6spd manual ?
ide think the car would have way more jump if it were to have a clutch and WAY MORE fun to drive.
dont get me wrong .... the tiptronic it has now is good .... but its not the same when u pop gears in manually on a power car like the 55.

Not sure if it's even worth the time and money for such a conversion. Just add a 6spd twin turbo beast to your stable.

You would first need to find a transmission to fit, many custom made parts, then doing the actual conversion. Ive heard of such things being done, and they ended up being in the $50-100k range. Get an SL65 and get the Brabus 730hp kit.

Buy a Porsche 996TT/997TT and chip it. AWD with 600+ HP will make your nose bleed on launch.
Converting the SL will be $$$$$$$$ because you will also need the ECU and a LOT of other things changed.

is there anything out there that i can switch my gears faster ....if so, how much is it and does it make a difference ?

We do a TCU upgrade that quickens the shifts, holds gear without upshifting better than the stock programming. It doesn't turn it into a manual, but it is better.

as for the mod ... how much does that go for and does it make a big difference ?
NOWAY will i sell my 55 for a porsche ...ewwww ! r u kidding me ..... this car has everything i need . ok ok its not stick woppideedoo!!
i dont even really race my car unless im going up north to the cottage where the roads are empty .... thats the only time i wished my car preformed abit more standard even though the tiptronic works great . i just want abit more pull when i switch gears .
If the mod is gonna be too expensive for something it will be abit of a different feel then MEH! wont even bother .
