SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Johnson IC pump upgrade, CM30 or CM90?
I have read a lot of these pumps and there seems to be a lot of people that now uses the Johnson pump. Some people have used the CM30 and some have used the CM90.
What is best to do? Should I go with CM30 or CM90? How much extra work does it require to exchange the stock pump? Are the Johnson pumps just bolt on or do I need some extra parts to make the pump fit? I have read somewhere that the CM90 requires extra work to make it fit, but it is worth the extra job? Are there noticeable performance gains with the CM90 compared to the CM30?
FYI I have also plans on an ECU upgrade.
Thanks in advance.

If I recall correctly, consensus was the CM30 was easier to fit but views diverged as to which pump provided superior cooling. Some guys felt the CM90 flow rate was too great to allow the heat exchanger to do its job properly and the CM30 would do better. Not everyone agreed.
Hope that helps.
