Thanks for the pic. Needs to lose the chrome on the lower bumper. Also, rear diffuser is just for show which is lazy/cheap by AMG.

However, it does look nice overall.

Looks great, but what is up with the chrome? Did it really come like that from factory ?!

Great Pic.
Have not seen one on the road yet here in Cali.

That chrome on the front will get wasted by some Valet.
I dont care for it either.

Thx for the pics....looks like Park in the lower 50s...

Gotta love intra-Manhattan commuter cars....front plate; prob numerous scuffs/dings from being raped daily in $1000/mo Manhattan trash compactors (AKA high-end garages) and street pkg....but how else does one safely/comfortably travel around Manhattan???

Yeah, the diffuser is cosmetic..and the aerodyn-functional trunk lid spoiler looks ricer/rapperish....and the sat radio wart, Parktronic bulletholes and TeleAid antenna simply look archaic vs CL's sleeker, higher-tech aesthetics.....but many tech/aesthetic aspects of any 599/997TT can be similarly accused/ridiculed....

And most Manhattan/BH 65s are rarely driven over 60MPH in their use by original owner anyway.....

Is the pic taken outside of Mercedes Benz Manhattan? I recognize the Park Ave and all the surroudings. Very nice piece indeed.

I saw the SL63 in person and that front is still hurting me. And I want to like that car.

Maybe that guy needs parktronic for the sides!

Why would MB delay the introduction? Slap on the new nose, back-end and some new electronics to an '08 SL65, and you have the '09 SL65, one of the highest gross margin products in the line. They are in business to make money.

The PRchris reference disappeared I see.

As regards the car, looks good apart from the gaudy, old-man chrome accoutrements.

Yes, the peevishness on my part was uncalled for.

I am hoping the new look grows on me, but so far it hasn't. I would like to drive the SL63 at some point though.

from Godyard's post above, there is a good side by side comparison of 55 and 65...

the 65 does look like the C class... while the 55 looks like a SL...
