What could santa do for you/your SL55?

A few suggestions:

My number 1 - Shave off 400KG

SL55LOva - catch the graffiti artist!

Deliver my mats - on order since September!

There must be loads of others - Deliver mine being probably the most popular!

Merry Christmas to All

Paul, I'm sure losing that amount of weight might be medically inadvisable for you......

What I would like most is some glorious winter sunshine days to go driving ....

What I would also like is the new 1/12 scale model which has a remote control opening roof, available in the spring at $150 so that I can play with it during meetings to signify how bored I am....

I hear sleigh bells - The dealer just called out of the Jasper to tell me my mats will be ready for collection tomorrow!

The way things have gone over the past 3 weeks pre-christmas celebrataions losing 400KG might be a possibility!

I'll also go with being able to see the sun!

Paul

Are these the ones with SL55 embroidered? If so, any chance of finding out the part numbers. I've recently put normal graphite ones in mine and they are a bit boring.

Here is my mixed bag:
1. I could always vote for the new DVD command. In reality I rarely use the nav system to find a location, but the interface is so slow and clunky.

2. Make command compatible with other phones like Ericson and Nokia (in the US), etc. No reason to be proprietary and rip us off with ridiculous phone prices.

3. Here is maybe my unpopular opinion on weight...
Every review I have read in the US complains about the weight. I actually got no issues with that. It's a convertible with significant torque that need to be able to maintain its structural integrity at any time, including an accident. Crashing an SL vs. let's say a Ferrari at high speed, my vote goes to the Mercedes on who will walk away from the wreck (know that one from experience (120mph+).

It's also the only convertible I know that doesn't squeek with the top down, especially when hitting bumps in the road

Talking

I like the solid heavy weight of the New SL55, it has enough power to do what ever you want on a public road and still feel like a bank vault.

The super high performance Benz will be the SLR at just over 3000 pounds you can ask Santa for that!

Someone mentioned here that there will will be a 1:12 scale model available for the SL500, with a remote control that operates the top. Can anyone say whether that will be available here in the States. Also, is it going to go for MSRP or what? :-)
I will appreciate any information.

Benznut, here's the announcement from the German web-site.

If your German's a bit rusty, here is my translation:

"Miniature SL-Roadsters park under the Christmas Tree"

Just in time for Christmas, there is now a complete SL fleet in miniature. The four miniatures of the coveted original park under the Christmas Tree in 1:87, 1:43, 1:18 and 1:12 scale. The design approval by Mercedes-Benz guarantees highest quality and great style. The smallest 500SL in 1:87 scale is just over 2 inches long and has nevertheless a complete interior with separate steering wheel and seats. A larger size, in 1:43, gleams with wood inserts in the dashboard and brake discs on the front and rear axles. Still more love of detail is seen in the roadster in 1:18 scale. Opening Doors and Bonnet (Hood) are included and the front wheels can be turned with the steering wheel. The somewhat larger SL500 in 1:12 scale has it all thanks to a wireless remote control for precise manoeuvering and even, at the touch of a button, changes in seconds from a coupe to an open roadster Available from Mercedes-Benz dealers and offices at prices from 12 - 143 Euro ($13 - $150) - just in time for Christmas.
