hijack! Can someone either post pics or show me the diff between the stock taillights and the 55 ones. Is it literally just the cover from the SL55s? Or something totally different. Sorry for being a doof.

To stay on topic, I'm looking for wheels for my car and I those HREs are awesome! There's a set of 547s for sale on the forum that I was thinking of, but I don't know if I can get 305s in the back without having to do any work?

Unfortunately, the wheels I wanted GFG Trento-5s aren't manufactured any more. A link for what those look like:

http://www.8887exotic.com/detail-200...h-3045751.html

BTW, is the quad exhaust a whole kit (i.e. Renntech) or was it just the tips? I'd love to get more noise and have the quad look, but I'm too cheap.
If I could find some way to get a little more growl and just replace the dual tips with quad tips, I'd be stoked.

You got to start your own threads- you did the same thing today in the E55 forum hijacking the "goodbye MBworld" thread. Trust me you will get more info and respect by requesting the info in a new thread vs. putting out the disclaimer "hijack"

As for you Ricker, you need to go with 20's on the SL IMHO as the 19's are way too small.

Then he should have got a pcar j/k

The trade off on an SL between 19's and 20's is negligible at best when considering good forged wheels. The car is already over 2 tons plus Ricker aint small-

I hear you guys & tot agree looks wise 20"s are perfect on the R230 but I had 3 piece 20's before on my w220 & bent the rears 3 times on these crummy Southern Cali roads, also I do agree the 20"s are a small diff over 19"s but I want this SL to be as FAST as possible, w/295/30 the overall tire/wheel height is the same....

The 265's up front make the car feel much smoother and corner a bit better..

Sean, ignore Vic. He's a renowned MB troll and it can't be long before his M6 and 997TT are exposed as replicas.

A thin sidewall won't affect traction, having wider tires will help you a lot

Actually it will, when there thin ie 25 aspect ratio they have no flex, there hard like big rubber bands. Look @ drag racers they run 17's w/huge side wall (aspect ratio) in order to hook.
