TPMS Question
This weekend when I turn off the engine on the SL65 the TPMS indicator symbol is shown on the dash display under the speedo and under the tach the display says "Please Rectify Tire Pressure". It only happens after I turn off the engine. I've checked the pressure and all the tires are within spec. I also tried to reset the tire monitor but still shows up. Is this a bad tire sensor? Any info would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

Funny you mentioned it.....I actually brought it to my buddy who's the manager at Discount Tire near me and he checked out the pressure and found everything was to specs and no nails but I'm still getting the display.

I had this happen with my SL55. The first time it was a bubble in the tire. The air goes into the bubble periodically and then comes back into the tire. The TPMS display would jump up and down up to 5 psi when this happened. The bubble was on the inside of the tire, so I did not see it. It's from a pot hole.
The second time, the sensor or the receiver unit went crazy. It was in the dealership for a few days before they tracked it down. Each wheel has a sensor/transmitter and there is a receiver in each wheel well.

Thanks jeffreyy for the info. I don't think I've hit any potholes....at least that I remember of. I'll stop by the dealer this week to have them take a look at it.
