Just installed the SL63 spoiler on my 08 SL55. There are several recent posts regarding this, so I took a bunch of pictures. Cost from dealer was $560 painted (+ tax). It took only two days to get mine in, and that's to a small dealership in San Luis Obispo. They said there were only two in the US in steel grey, and mine came from New Jersey. Held on with LOTS of very sticky double-sided tape, tricky to install (keep long strips of tape covered with the release tape until spoiler is positioned correctly). Believe me, once installed, it will never come off 'accidentally'.
My part number was 230-790-0088, color code 7755. I like the genuine MB spoiler better than the aftermarket ones - it 'stands up' higher and I think that looks better. But it isn't too big or gaudy. Very similar to the spoiler on the SLK55.

It doesn't look bad at all looks pretty good actually. Can you take some pics with the top up?

I think it's to high and to angled, it's close to the Audi TT one that was installed to keep them on the road in high speed! I like the smaller one much better.

the SL63 spoiler only looks good on dark colors ..... lite colors looks too big .
