SL55 AMG & BMW F10

How much typical cost to fix SL55 hardtop?

I'm thinking of getting either E55 or SL55, couple cars I saw on the internet mentioned "hardtop inoperable".

How much is the typical cost to fix this?

Hard to tell...you might want to get the VIN# and take it to the dealer and see if anything was diagnosed at the dealership. That might lead you to a dollar amount or go to a friendly SA and ask what typically breaks down with regard to the hardtop mechanism and the worst case scenario.

That would give you a ceiling on what it would cost. If it's under warranty then it should be covered...if not and you still want the SL55 then I would take it to an independent MB ASE certified mechanic to fix. MB will bend you over and pound you on labor and even parts.
