No, I'm positive, M5 and M6 only comes with SMG here! Even for mod. 2009.
A friend of mine works as a salesman at BMW.
The stick version I think is for US only...

M3 on the other hand, comes with stick or DKG (double clutch)!

NO resonators on the SL600tt ONLY has mufflers & cats in OEM form, I straight piped mine it sounds like the 63 motor

Listen to Murtza's vidz he had SL500 w/out mufflers, it's a lil too loud + you'll have ear splitting droan inside cabin on frwy...The 600tt is immune to this due to the Turbos, they really mute a lot of engine noise..

Actually drone was never a problem with just a bit of music on, it was quiet, it was just really loud at WOT compared to the power output - thats why looking back, it did seem a bit too loud for what it was.

You gotta paint your wheels and calipers like your sig, looks sick!!

Does anyone know the diameter of the exaust piping on the 55AMG's ?

I want to get this done to my car but need to find a shop that can bend and fabricate the pipes right!

Thanks. Chris

HI Chris,,

the AMG 5.5 and 6.3 stock pipes from downpipes all the way back is 2.75" I believe..

unless you will be running more than 550 hp, that size is more than adequate, and going to 3" will not make that much diff and possible reduce backpressure.. and torque

when you get to over 550 hp, its starts to make sense to goto 3" +

I had my SL55 COMPLETELY straight-piped, all the way from very near the headers. That thing was just ridiculous. I'd pull up next to Cobra's and WS6s and Chargers with Borla stickers on 'em and have them go

Guess they never heard a 5.5L with no silencing. I know it's too much for most of you here, but I loved how I could wake up my neighbors, from a couple blocks over.

I'm just OK with the sound of the resonator removal. Sounds to much like my Harley... Has anyone left the resonators and removed the rear mufflers? If so, was the sound any different? Does anyone have any vid's of just the rear straight pipe?
Thanks
