300E a couple 1994 w124wagon E320 Wagon/,1971MGB Track/Rally, MG Midget Autocross ,2000 E320 wagon.
Down here

the fss service interval is about 10k miles on mobil1 0w40 syn oil and fleece filter.A lot of us do our own oil changes with the topsider suction device or others like it.
Your owners manual shows the reset procedure and without you having a record of when it was last serviced,it would be a good idea to do it now and reset the fss.
if you do not diy find a good indie shop that knows Mercedes.
Depending on miles it is also time to get your transmission filter and fluid changed.MB spec fluid only.
Procedure for checking oil level is also in the owners manual, via the controls on the steering wheel.

Keep looking hard for that dipstick. Its got to be there someplace.

These cars dont use oil unless they failed the breakin process.
Oil Changed is performed at both A & B Service. It rotates every 10,000 miles. Suggest changing oil and doing the service inspections every 9000 miles. The A & B Services are not that expensive. And you will find that
taking care of this car as it gets older is the key to keeping it on the road.
The inspections check the brakes and all the ABC components that can and will get you in trouble and cost you big bucks. So just DIY oil changes
will be missing the purpose of a trained tech. Going over your AMG with a trained eye to catch problems before they effect safety or greater expense
in failed components. Especially Ball joints and Struts.

Penny wise is pound foolish with these cars. I keep telling you that but
sooner or later your going to learn this the hard way. More to owning these cars than just driving them as fast as you can.

Read the book and you will figure how to check the oil. It can be tricky.
Hot Car, Cold Car. Dont worry it would warn you if it was a quart low.
And it holds 9 quarts.
