Bought SL65 need to sell SL55
Hi all I have a silver.charcoal SL55, 2005 23K miles for 43K. If interested PM me or jimc@jstco.com

It's 06 with about 25k on it black on black. A friend of mine who is a dealer bought it for me wholesale. It is very very quick maybe the quickest street car I have driven. I have an 08 Porsche turbo, an F430 and an 08 Z06. I think it would take all of them in a straight line. I drive the car pretty much every day. As a friend of mine says, it is bad fast. My SL55 which is a great car and nearly perfect is on ebay at 42K. I had no idea they had gotten that cheap what a bargain. I paid less for the Sl65 now than I did for the SL55 one year ago. The SL65 is so fast and has so much torque you have to be a little carefull with it, sort of like riding a superbike. I am tempted to do the Kleeman flash on it but not sure about what that does to the warranty. I suspect a serious failure on this car would be expensive. I love the car but I also loved my 05 SL500, and my 05 SL55. Did I mention that it was fast? :-)

Your SL55 looks like a great deal. I know that I still love mine.
The 65 cars are very tunable. There is definitely a bit more fun to be had!
One of our SL65 clients just called me, as his dealer did an update on the car and essentially put it back to stock. He said that his car felt like the power was gone! I guess he got used to Veloce Performance!
As for warranty issues, the way we write the programming it remains invisible to the dealer.

I originally wanted the CLK Black, but think I have a great deal on an 06 SL65 myself. And I havent even driven one yet!! lol
I've never owned a car quite this expensive, but this economy makes it almost too good to pass up a deal on a 190k+ car.
Thanks for your input!

I think it's like anything..... you get used to it. When I first bought my F40, I felt that it was 'scary fast', but after a while the speed and the power felt 'normal'. The odd thing was when I would get back into one of my other Ferrari's, which weren't exactly slow, they felt like they were 'broken'! I am sure that is what my 65 client is going through

And how could it be invisible to the dealer?
I'm assuming if you have the tune and you take it in for service, that unless you told them about it, they could potentially clear your tune out if they had to reflash the e.c.u. for some reason.
If that did happen, would you guys re-tune for free? (or small fee).

I would have bought the 09 65 if I was rolling like that....and I definetly wouldnt be driving the SL everyday with a F430 in the stable.
