SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Sl65 Spoiler problem
If it is double-sided tape, there are many ways to safely remove the spoiler. I have been successful many times using a hair dryer to heat up the tape, then using dental floss to slowly "saw" through the adhesive tape, while pulling up on the loosened end of the spoiler (it's much easier with 2 people). It may take a little while, but this works. Once the spoiler has been removed, the residual adhesive from the tape can be taken off by scraping with a fingernail (don't use anything too hard, which might damage the paint). Any little pieces still there can be removed with an adhesive remover, but I find WD-40 works well too, as long as there is not a lot of adhesive left. Won't hurt the paint at all.
The spoiler can be reattached with a new "set" of double-sided tape once the area has been completely cleaned with soap and water to remove any remaining adhesive or adhesive remover.
