Replace 2003 body panels with SL63 panels?
Hi,
I have had my 03 SL55 for a while now and recently had someone hit me in the rear. Have about 10k in damages... thinking of making some adjustments to the car while it is in the shop. While its tempting to buy a new one just for the updated body, I was curious about just upgrading the body?
Can you basically take the SL63 body parts and bolt them onto an SL55? Front and rear?
Any idea what the parts would go for?
Anyone else do this conversion?

Buy a new one. The SL63 is so much better than the 2003 SL55 that it's really worth it.
On the other side, raping your beautiful original SL55 with facelift bodyparts sounds like a shame to me.
So my advice (as happy 2003 SL55 owner): Fix the old car or trade it in for a new SL63.

SL55 To SL63 Conversion
Hi,
I have a 2006 SL55 with the 030 package.
I converted it to the 2010 SL63 look. Every panel on the outside is a Factory MB part.
I can do it for $17K if interested.
