Question ABC Reprograming

Is it possible to reprogram the ABC to the 030 setting? Will the dealer do it? Thanks!

Do you mean can the dealer adjust the height via the ECU settings? I believe so as my dealer did it (lower) for me. However the car ended up unlevel soon thereafter so on the second try it ended up back at stock height. I think perhaps a renteck solution might work?? The cheapest and easiest is the adjustable links. Adjustable from 0-2 ' lowering I believe. 2" is too much IMO as the ride is harsh and theres not enough clearance unless you want a boulevard cruiser.

I don't think you understand what the OP was asking... anyhow the height is not adjust via any kind of "ECU" settings, it is adjusted via SDS at the dealer that reprograms the ABC module.

I think the questions is can the dealer setup the Active Body Control (ABC) with AMG “Nürburgring” calibration as they call it in the Performance Studio brochure...

https://mbworld.org/forums/attachmen...rmance-pkg.pdf

I don't think the dealer can do something like that, unless its a flash that they download to upgrade the ABC computer.

That wont do anything as the valving in the struts is different. You need to replace the 4 struts to get the settings seen in the 030 package. It is not just an electric calibration setting.

It is possible to make adjustments to the ABC via the STAR dx system. We lower cars, as well as change some ride and stiffness calibrations.

The STAR system is very cool, in that it is possible to adjust and check so many different systems on the car. It does help if you have a well trained tech that can use the system properly.

So, to answer your question... it should be possible to calibrate the suspension settings, but I doubt that you will find a dealer to do it. It will have to be an independent who has a STAR system and is very well versed in its functions.

Interesting, are the AMG-valved shocks any better do you know, or are they just revalved and thats it? I was wondering myself if you could change the setup of a non-AMG car, how much does it run to do this?

We charge $750 for the lowering of an SL. If you go to our web site and click on the MB logo, you can see my SL55 lowered through STAR.
