Sl 55 AMG 05'
Question posible? modern Steering Wheel for my sl55 05'?

i recently changed my 2005 sl55 amg steering wheel for a 2007 alcantara steering wheel (the paddles are larger and the wire combination is not the same) The shift knob function is ok but the paddles are not functioning... any one know the wire combinations?

The paddles are electronically different from the buttons. There's no way to get them to work, without modding the paddle's electronic.

Do a search on the mbworld forum. There are many discussions about how to upgrade to the paddles. But you'll find out that it is not a trivial thing to do. You need to install a new microswitch in one of the paddles, new resistors etc.

Best thing is if you find someone who has done that mod before and who is willing to mod your paddles.
