SL55 Short Waiting Time?
Are there any dealers that are under a year wait to order a SL55? The shortest wait I found was 1 1/2 years.

1M, F550M, F550B, F40, S600, 365GTC, DBSx2, etc.
You can get cars now all over the world. I found 7 for sale in Japan through a friend. I wouldn't wnat to import one, however.
Finding a wait list under 1.5 years is going to command a premium. The question is, how much over are you willing to pay?

There are still dealerships in South Florida who are selling SL55's for $175,000!!

Importation and conversion would place the cost of the vehicle quite high. The cost to ship from overseas via Air Freight is about $5,000, and conversion will cost in the neigborhood of $15,000. On top of these, there is a 3% Bonding fee, and a 2.5% duty fee when importing. Finally the EPA/DOT certifications cost another few hundred bucks.

Average premium these days is between $15,000 on the low end to $25,000 on the high end.

After many phone calls I found a dealer in Florida with delivery in June or July at MSRP. They have a few slots left open. If anyone is interested contact me.
