1/4 mile times... what to expect
I'm planning on renting out Atco or E-town with a few friends as soon as my friends car gets shipped back to NY. (he just went 231mph in the Texas mile and set a new Porsche record). I was just wondering what kind of times you guys were running when your cars were stock. I'm gonna get a set of DR's. I never tend to beleive the magazine times as I've been street / drag racing for almost 15 yrs and every car I've ever owned I've has gone much faster than any published times. Maybe we should start a 1/4 mile sticky to post our times and mods.

I do recall a forum member posting that he ran 12.4 with his SL55. That's the best time I recall seeing for a stock SL55.
Those times are all with street tires.
On a good track like Atco or or E-town, on a good day, with good tires you definitely have the potential to set a new 1/4 record for a stock SL55. Good luck!! Hope you nail it!!! I'd also be game if we wanted to start our own SL55 1/4 mile sticky here. My modified SL55 has a best ET of 11.4 (on street tires with a trap speed of 121 mph) and a best trap speed of 126 mph (on drag radials with an ET of 11.6).
