Headlamp Assembly removal
Does anyone know how to remove the headlamp assembly on an SL600? I've loosed the two top screws and the assembly is loose but still stuck in place and I don't want to force it if something is holding it in place. Thanks

i think u should undo the front bumper a bit.. and i think there are more than 2 screws to be loosened. i changed the light bulb on the left lamp pretty easy, but for the one on the right, where the sbc system is, its alot harder to reach into.

Why do you want to remove the Headlamp Assembly? To replace it entirely? I think that might require removing the front bumper. It would be nice if you could post photos of the process once you figure out how to do it.

They are right, you need to take out the lower center mesh, remove the 10 mm nut behind the relevent side, remove the grille, and there are 2 silver screws holding the top of the bumper on. Then, remove, or gently pry aside the front fender liner to remove the T20 torx screw that holds the retaining slide to the bumper and fender. Press the slide in towards the center of the car a little, and then pull it backwards. it will slide straight back, then you can gently pull the bumper forward until you will see it slid free of the fender. From there you can access the last fasteners for the headlamp. Reinstall opposite of disassembly.
