I would love to see some members cars with 11in rear wheels. I am trying to figure out what offset I want to use and thus want to see different filaments. I would appreciate it!

Here are a few pics when I had my HRE 20x11's on the rear. If I remember correctly I had a 325/ 25/20 tires on them. Footprint of the tire was almost 13". Had no rubbing issues on stock low setting. Made a world of difference on wheelspin.

Auraraptor...per your PM...I had to email the owner of CCW to get offsets on my setup. I'm waiting for a response.

Here are a couple pics until then...The wheels are CCW SP16a's with Michelin PS2's. Front's are 255/35/19 and rears are 305/25/20.

Very nice! A few questions:

How was the ride quality? I know it won't be like stock 18's, but was the ride a lot harsher? Do you think 315/35/20's would ride any better, but still no rubbing issues?

Are the fronts also 20's, or did you use 19's? Do you recall the size tire?

I did not notice a big difference in ride quality. A little stiffer on sport mode but no complaints. 20's on the front too. 245/35/20. 255/35/20 rub the suspension arm above the tire all the time, not just with bumps. The tire site recommended the 255 but rubbed a groove in the tread. My first set of tires on the rear were 305's and the 325's rode much smoother.

Thanks for the message! I love the way the 3xx tires sit. I will try for a similar rear end on my R230.

20x9 and 20x11 with a 255/30 20 and 305/25 20 would be the tires that you would want to run

I run a 295/30/20 on my 20x11 inch rears. Reason is I didn't want to lower the car, and this tire fills the wheel wells very nicely with the slightly larger sidewall aspect. I tried the 305/25 and it looked anemic in the wheel wells without lowering. My 2 cents.

Try out this tire size calculator:

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

stock wheel sizes for SL55 is 255/40/18 front, 285/35/18 rear. Enter your new desired tire size and it will show you the difference in size, from a side and rear perspective. Also shows the % circumference difference and how it will affect your speedometer.
