Question about rear window
Good day guys. I have a dilemma. The driver's side rear window (small window) on my sl55 does not go up as high as the passanger side. I noticed this after inspecting why the window creeks and cracks (noises) when going over certain bumps, etc.
My question is, how can I get it to go up higher than it goes when closed? It is lower by about 1/2" from the passanger side window. It seems as though it doesn't close all the way and thta is why that side squeeks.
Thank you.

have you tried sync'ing your windows? put the top up and hold both window buttons up for a few seconds (4-5 secs i think thats what the manual says)
It should fix the problem...

I tried the above but it didn't do anything. Am I doing something wrong. I started the car and simply held both switches in the up position for 10 seconds.

I have not tried sliding the window up with my hand but I don't think I will. These cars are so touchy and just dont want to break the mechanism of the window.I have no tint on the windows. This has been a problem since I bought the car just never noticed it until I looked for it. I have closd and opened the top many times but it always goes up to the same level.

I noticed one thing yesterday. When the top is down, the windows are both at the same height. It is only when the top is up. I looked and there downt seem to be any room for it to go up any higher. Could there be something uneven with the construction of the roof or seals?

if you open the top all the way and roll down the back window. you can take that seal off and you should see a couple of allen bolts that will adjust the window. if that does change anything youll most likely need a window regulator and possible a window motor since sometimes it has a hall sensor that goes bad inside the motor
