SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: New Chrysler Extended Warranty Plan Provider

FYI...I spent ALOT of time researching a "service contract" for my 2007 Chrysler 300 with 48,000 miles. I was very cautious about buying a plan from anybody but Chrysler Service Contracts directly, but I ran across Michael Case and his outfit (www.Chryslerfactoryplans.com) and he put my mind to ease.
Before making a decision, I called and emailed him on three different occasions and he ALWAYS returned my calls and emails promptly and was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions and concerns. He even returned my call on Christmas Eve day at 3:00 pm. I got a killer deal in comparison to buying a contract from Chrysler directly or any 3rd party plans. Incidentally, I wound up purchasing a 3yr/unlimited mile plan.
I know it sounds like I might work for Michael or something, but I do not. I actually work for AAA (Go Figure). I'm just very satisfied with the service he provided me and would like to help others out if possible. I'll be going onto Chryslers website in a few days to make sure my contract has been submitted into Chrysler's system and truly is in fact a genuine Chrysler Service Contract (http://www.chrysler.com/en/service_contracts/)...
Good Luck all with your purchases.

My service rep said just the opposite... he said they were very pleasant to deal with, and that they didn't require any inspector to visit to approve repairs (as do many other extended warranty compaines). He was also surprised that so many things were covered (such as the gas struts that hold up the trunk lid)... many others consider that a normal wear item.
Overall, my experience with this plan has been a solid two thumbs up.
Edit: Also, in my visit all OEM parts were used (fixed headlight washer assemblies, valve cover gaskets, front suspension busings, etc)

You CAN get a Chrysler warranty on MBZs out of factory warranty. Mine had 30k miles and was out....

In searching for this, I also found chrysler-warranty-online.com website as well with a lot of similar (but not all) information to chryslerfactoryplans.com.
Plans are the same but contact info are different ...
Fishy?

The price has gone up $1300 the last time I inquired (Nov 09). In November I was quoted $3300 for 5yr/70000 mile coverage. I called yesterday to purchase because my CPO will expire in Dec 2010. To my surprise the price jumped. I think that’s extremely big increase. Now I don’t know if it would be worth $4600 for this coverage.

Are you referring to Micheal C. from Zeigler auto group? If you are just spoke to him last Friday regarding a quote for my car. He returned my call in a day.

I have been reading and reading and reading all the good info on aftermarket warranties and decided to go to the 2 Mercedes dealers in my area to see what they have to offer. I have a 2005 SL500 with 13,000 miles still under CPO which runs out in July. The first place offered an EasyCare warranty for $4383 for 2 years and the other place offered what they say is a Mercedes warranty which is the same as the existing CPO for $4939 for 2 years. The brochure calls it a Mercedes Benz Pre-Owned Extended Limited Warranty which includes covering the command unit. (I thought we couldn't get a Mercedes warranty after the first one ran out?)
Anyway both brochures have lists of items they cover but I have read so many horror stories that I am numb trying to follow this whole issue. Still reading- still thinking.

Chrysler Plan Details
For those of you who have the Chrysler plan from Michael Case or Todd for your M-Bz:
Please confirm whether it covers the use of OEM parts and M-Bz labor rates versus aftermarket/refurbished parts?
Are your M-Bz dealers accepting the Chrysler policies directly or are they requiring you to pay first and seek reimbursement yourself from Chrysler?
I will likely purchase an ext warranty by mid-summer, and the Chrysler plan sounds very good, but the fine details in these policies are all important.
Thanks

I've had excellent results with this plan. My service rep at my local MBZ dealer handled all of the paperwork and interaction with the warranty people. All I was out was my deductible.

Micheal Case and Chrysler no longer underwrite warranties to Florida residents.
Here is the email I just received from him.
"I'm sorry but that is not an option - we can no longer sell Chrysler contracts to Florida residents (Florida State Laws).
Regards,
Michael Case
Harold Zeigler Automotive Group"

According to his blog, he's not selling warranties for MB to anyone. I'm about to purchase a 2004 SL55 with CPO coverage, but looking for the best option to extend it. Fidelity any good? It was offered by my local dealer.

GREAT EXPERIENCE with Michael Case of Zeigler Automotive Group
Like many, I attempted to find the best extended warranty that I could for the money. I spent a few months reading several M-B Forums on the web, and ultimately narrowed the field down to The Chrsyler Service Contracts. I contacted Michael Case, and found him to be extremely helpful, professional and responsive. We ended up purchasing a three year (post factory warranty), unlimited mileage extended warranty for our E-350. Our M-B dealer has had quite a bit of experience dealing with Chrysler Service Contracts, and recommended them. Although we have not as of yet had to use the extended warranty, or the additional wheel and tire protection that we purchased for a very fair price, having overheard some of the discussions about charges that others encountered at the dealer to maintain their relatively new, but out of warranty automobiles, I enjoy having the piece of mind of a credible extended warranty.
No matter how many times Consumer Reports and others have advised against extended warranties, in the case of every car that we've purchased one for, we came out ahead of the game. And as I said above, the comfort of knowing that a significant expense is likely covered, is comforting.

Wow. I guess I missed the boat. Mine is up in July and was hoping to get one from Micheal being that there was so much good feedback about him and the warranty. Any suggestions where to go now for an SL500 warranty? Thanks, Rob.

I talked with Michael Case after I read that Chrysler was no longer writing extended warranties on Mercedes-Benz. Michael advised me that it was not Chrysler who had made that decision, but the company that he works for, Zeigler Automotive Group. Michael advised me that this decision may be temporary. In so far, I suggest you contact Michael to determine if this policy has changed. If Zeigler Automotive Group is still not writing warranties on Mercedes-Benz, I would check with other sellers of Chrysler Service Contracts to see if they are willing to write a warranty on a Mercedes-Benz.
