Nice, looks like Yamaha completely redesigned the FZ6.

Its my first bike ever and its pretty good. Liking it a lot.
Put 25 miles on it today as my first day ever riding a motorcycle.

good choice for a first bike. If you have not already done so, take the MSF course and get good gear. once you get out of valley and out to PCH, even with the heat this weekend it is so much cooler. kanan to encyinal canyon to pch is a good, fun and safe ride.

looks good. good choice going with a 600 for your first bike. Now all you need to do is get a tag eliminator kit for the rear and get some shorter mirrors. Maybe a smoked windscreen as well.

nope, no courses. im not licensed yet either, ive just been tooling around so far.
went into the mountains near me, and around town.

first feeling? nothing special really. im still getting used to trusting that the bike can handle corners and going fast.
so far ive only hit 52mph max on it or so.

dont buy a full sport bike with the handle bars all the way down at first either, get something like mine where the handle bars are a bit higher.

Thumbs up

Get yourself on the Ortega Highway...great mountain road....Hell's Kitchen at the top is a great hangout for a cold brew (just one though)

Yamaha makes a great sport bike, 600 is a much more manageable size...I've only got a one liter as my fat *** needs all the power it can get...

btw, did you just have a one year lease on the SL? can't believe it's gone already....GTR time??

There is alot about riding a motorcycle that is not intuitive. Like counter steerinng. Do yourself a favor and take a riding course. There are people who do it one one one. Also buy the gear.

Like the others have said, take the course, buy the gear and wear it. I'd avoid any of the roads suggested until you have a few thousand miles under your belt. The Malibu canyons and Ortega highway are not the place to learn how to ride.

But once you're up to speed, check out hwy 33 above Ojai.

Alot of fun!

Nice bike. A course is well worth the money.Never ever trust a car at a set of lights or an intersection ,Have to stay focus 100% on what could pull out. Its alot of fun on the bikes, however the car takes the cake and the finish line, lol !

*bump*

Was the 63 lemoned or a one year lease?

I saw you posted somewhere about the GT-R- so long as you don't pay sticker I think it'll hold it's value, one issue is the crummy interior
