Max RPM SHift points when using "M" mode..

I've been using the buttons with manual when flooring it every once in a while.

I find if I wait till close to redline and hit the up button there is some lag in the actual shift , the car hits the rev limiter as it goes up a bit in RPM, then bogs then goes into 2nd, or the higher gear. My foot is on the gas the whole time.

I'm wondering if there is a better technique or I should hit the upshift earlier in the range and it would then the car would shift right around red line, or let up a bit off the gas similar to a normal stick shift then floor once in gear again?

any feedback would be great. thanks

after playing with it, seat of the pants feels best with just leaving it in "d"

your best acceleration is achieved by leaving in "D".

the "M" button is strictly for forcing a downshift (or two) when at part throttle and you want to accelerate faster, but not floor it for a kickdown.

ok so "D" it is, just floor it and let it shift on its own I assume..?

pretty much...

you can also explore with turning off stability and letting it activate when flooring... some cars achieve better 0-60 with this technique.

or you can feel adventurous and put the car in dyno mode (no electronic help of any kind including abs) and experiment... but be careful
