How Low Can I Go - Need Help (Maybe...)
Hi Guys: I just installed the lowering links on my 06 SL55 (with stock 18 inch multispoke wheels).
PRIOR to install with suspension ALL the way down (no lights) I had 2 fingers+ between tire and fender in front and 3 fingers in back.
AFTER install with suspension ALL the way up (2 lights on) I have 2 fingers front and rear BARELY.
with 1 light on - about 1 finger front and rear
w/o lights on - car is DOWN - not sure if it will rub (do I have to roll fenders?)
I am thinking that this may be a little too low.
Comments and experience would be much appreciate. I will try to post pics later.
Thanks,
D-
PS - easy install!!!

I just drove the car withthe suspension in all three positions. There was no rubbing in any of the positions, but now I am thinking I may have to tweak the front down a turn or two to get the right stance. I will say that with the car all the way down - the ride is getting a little "harsh" and that was w/o the ABC on.
I think I am going to drive it for a week to see what it looks like and will re-adjust next weekend if needed.
Thx

gfear..it rub beacuse your tires are not stretch..and offset your wheel is probably not correct...
edit..pic of that sl500 is not mine...its one of the local guy, and i seen him drive around that low...
here's mind....alignment is adjust at lowest mode.drive it this low is neccessary..

I think as long as you keep the stock 18 inch multispoke wheels on you shouldn't have any rubbing issues when slammed.
