Exhaust tuning via Star Diagnose?

Is the exhaust-valve programming possible via Star-diagnose? Look at this promising video:

Think they are taking about a exhaust bypass not engine valve timing.

Yes, but the SL55 has an exhaust bypass controlled through the ECU.

BTW, I'm talking about sound tuning, not more HP.

Where is the valve located? My exhaust is two simple pipes from the heads to the mufflers.

You mis-understood what I was telling you. The OEM exhaust does not have a valve.

This is what they are talking about, a "flap" muffler. (see about mid page)

Yes, the video was listed in the first post.

Me thinks it does almost the same job as removing the resonators but at much higher price.

isn't there some sort of valve/wastegate that stays open on the v12's to bypass the turbos? Is that what you are talking about? If you just want a sweet loud as hell exhaust, buy a couple electric cutouts and install them somewhere before your mufflers or resonators, loud as hell from the flip of a switch, they usually run around 200 per side and you'd need 2, most average exhaust shops can mount them.

You mean so it sounds like this?

It only happens on a cold-start-- I was looking into some type of bypass like you mentioned so I can have it sound like that just cruising around but got ridiculed to hell.
