I think it confirms my suspicions about the SL, no doubt but to get the SL600, the sound is great and the comfort amazing, my choice though.

dude, i think I have teh same problem as you, if you have teh free basic real one player installed, then open that up and then use the internet browser from within that to open the webpage and the video, you can always right click on the video when it is playing and then select play in realone player and full screen it.

Nice video. This may just be my isolated opinion, but I think that the R129 was more plush on the inside than the R230. Does anyone else share this thought?

The R129 is still a comfortable car but don't forget it's basically unchanged from the launch version in 1989 and the basic interior was designed in the mid 80's. Just as the R230 was long in the making, so too was the R129 and Mercedes described it at the time as the most complex car they had ever developed. It's an old design now though and showing its age.

The R230 interior moves the whole game forwards and is a very special place to be. It's a fresh design which puts people like Jaguar to shame. I especially like the aluminium trim in the SL55 which gets away from the over lacquered wood finishes. I love wood in my home but not in my cars. Compare the wood in a Mercedes with the wood in a Bentley and you will see what I mean.

I don't think the R129 is plusher at all. The R230 seats are supportive and the driving position is much better. It does surprise me the exclusive nappa leather upgrade is not available in the US, only designo. That option here does convey an extra feeling of luxury with additional contrasting stitching and leather on surfaces which are plastic in the standard car.

The same was true of the R129. Mine has only standard leather and the fake vinyl trim on the doors is not great, it's never been anywhere near a cow.
