Thanks for the input you guys, I just found this clip, it is of a SLK55AMG I'm not sure if there is a sound difference stock for stock between that and a SL55

I'm glad it worked out for you. I really think the added sound is perfectly suited for a 500-600hp+ car, even an MB. I honestly think having had pretty much the whole gamut of setups on R230 V12s that this is by far the best one.

IMO, the sound on an SL55 will way too loud. I've heard no mufflers on an E55 and it is not something you can reasonably drive around town with. No youtube video is going to be able to properly convey the dB level of straight pipes on a 55. It will be overly obnoxious and in no way compares to what the V12 is able to pull off without mufflers. Turbo exhaust housings make a huge difference...

The sound in the vids is decent but I'm sure it sounds different in person. I also had B&B's on my C5 Vettes, although not Bullets but PRT's... They sounded perfect to me, and I've heard them all in the 235 member Corvette club I belonged to at the time... No resonance at all in the car, nice idle, throaty on accel, popped on decel, sounded like all hell braking loose on WOT, nice and mellow when cruising... B&B makes them for the SL500 but no other MB Model, though I tried to impresss upon the Marketing guy that they should consider making more products for MB's, espcially SL's... Seems theirs plenty of room in the market for another performance muffler for SL's...
