MBenzNL upgraded my 2003 COMAND to 2008...
MBenzNL upgraded my 2003 COMAND to 2008 and threw in some OEM carbon fiber in the process
Old CD COMAND (2003, D2B, with ALU trim):
New DVD COMAND (2008, MOST, with CF trim):
Of course with full integration (steering wheel buttons and audio/nav/phone info in the instrument cluster):
And as a bonus Steve upgraded my Keyless-Go so that I got rid of the pesky Keyless-Go card. So the item below I don't need no more:

Looks great! If I didn't have an aversion to COMAND, that would be the way to go...Steve @ MBenzNL does great work.

So does that mean that your car performs blipped rev-matched downshifts like the C63?

You can also get a CF gear knob, too. Either DCT Motorsports or Performance Products has them if Steve can't get you one...I got mine from Performance but that was before DCT offered there version.

The list price is €1,150 excl taxes. You can check the AMG Manufactur Catalogue here: https://mbworld.org/forums/2645518-post5.html
LOL Yeah, the interior is a bit dusty and spotty here and there.
I'm not yet sold on the spoiler. I do like the naked look of the rear. But who knows in the future.

Just took a look at the PDF...I like the speedshift plus. How does this work?> Is it something you order (I don't see any order info or contact info??) how do you get this?
Also how does having the speedshift plus effect any ecu tunes that may tell the tcu to shift more aggressivly as part of the flas upgrade?

for those who wonder why this car got the 2005 to 2008 comand system installed and not the 2009 (NTG2.5) system the answer is easy: the 2009 comand NTG2.5 only works in combination with the new HK amp and HK speakers and that 2009 HK bassbox does not have an indent to leave room for the distronic control unit (as it is used in the R230 SLs from 2002 to 2005)...and this car has (retrofitted) distronic
The complete setup came out of an Austrian 2008 SL350 that got the NTG2.5 system installed (complete with HK sound, MMI, comfort phone) in combination with an hydraulic trunkcloser.

Upgrading the keyless-go system to the newer system with combined key was surprisingly easy.

I would be very happy to get rid of that plastic keyless-go card. I asked the dealer and they said it would take a whole day work to replace the entire system...

Is MBenzNL doing this as a real business or is it more like a hobby thing? I've asked questions about the upgrade here in this thread (see above) and I've also sent a PM... No answer.
Also I didn't see anything like a pricelist or something on his website.

I barely ever log into this forum and barely ever check my PMs (too much work, not enough time)...if you have questions and would like to have them replied, you can send us an email (in english or german)...we do not have any pricelists or webshops as pricing depends on the actual car, it's options and modelyear and our stock of available parts.
