Gas smell under the hood
I got light smell of gas fumes around the supercharger. heavier fumes under the engine cover when engine running. Could the fuel injectors leaking? Thanks......

I am not sure what is leaking, but you have a leak somewhere and you should get it looked at ASAP and find the source.

Sorry to bring this thread from the dead, but I am experiencing the same thing in my 03 Sl55. Anyone has experienced this? I have fuel smell coming from underneath, specially under the engine when engine running. I have raised the car and I inspected, but did not see any visible leaks. I need to address this problem, before it gets serious. Thanks!

Pour some flouresent gasoline dye. Drive for a bit. Inspect and let us know

That's exactly what I am gona do. This might be the best thing to check for leaks otherwise, it will be tricky to locate this leak.

fuel rail leaking. I brought my to dealer, they replaced it.

Wow cracked fuel rail? Maybe it is a good time to consider a looped rail from TTM!
