Car is done and now time for the orangepeel to come off.
There you can see the lining on.
And Some guy just dropped of a Lambo to get a customer body kit made. I wonder what they are going to make.

So after talking with Sarona "Mario" he's using the car as a demo at the New York Auto show at Jacob Javits Center for a week.
If you want you can come by and check it out.
Here are the pictures of the car leaving on a flat bed to the City.

wow......that is damn impressive, the only place I can tell that it isn't 100% straight out of Germany is the inner fender, that is really impressive. and I must say that is a great set of wheels for that car.....So what did the total end up running you for wheels and everything? (if you don't mind me asking)

He dropped it off on the 25th of March & it's finished w/New 1 off wheels on April 1st (8) days later they couldn't even do the bodywork not to mention paint job or have 1 off wheels made in under 1 month, WTF is going on here?
Is this just the original Sarona SL500 w/new 65 tail lights n wheels this is logistically impossible even if ALL parties worked day/night 24hrs a day seems like a promotional stunt w/original SL500, I've had way too many cars painted w/custom body work done in my time to believe this was completed in roughly 1 week... April fools I guess
Besides that it looks excellent, the hood looks bit different than OEM SL65 BS, in particular extra depth of hood vents & rise/buldge in hood towards front of vehicle...
Sooo you're NOT GOING TO POSE EHHHHH??? Just parky in front of your restaurant for advertisement huh??? What about the V12 BITURBO side badging POSING Doucher You did exactly what I thought you would

Yes I agree with you guys on the fact it's not sl55 or sl65 non the less it's a sl500. But I own a SL55 with a lorinser kit on it already. But for my purposes on the replica car, is to just show it off here at my restaurant in the city. No go, just hard parking. I don't go to meets either so to say what am I going to say I'll just be honest when that day comes. I guess I could have swapped over the sl55 to the black series kit conversion, but I use my 55 pretty much all the time and was expecting the 500 to be in the shop a lot longer.

It came out nice...just floss off the badging and your good to go...if my opinion meant anything. It's your 40K but I think the great outcome of the bodywork/rims is going to be overshadowed by a $10 V12 badge.
I've thought of doing the full conversion to the Black 65 body but @40K price point, I could just put a nice downpayment on a brand new 997TT. I personally think they Sarona screwed up by making the price of the kit so high...they sure would sell a lot more.
Again, it turned out great and it will look great in front of your restaurant...just make sure you don't race a...C350. Take pics with the top down.

I wish I can say it was not true, but it's true. Not Saronas car if that where your confusion was. The original car they did was a guy in California some guy name Johnny Muzien. I asked about that. There is no need for me to make things up really. I enjoy posting it. As for the logos on the fenders I keyed on that too, because they are supplying it, they installed it before I got a chance to tell them not to do it. Which is why my rear trunk doesn't have it. But I'm removing it any how, and just leaving all clean and fresh because I like it that way.
As for the wheels I said I had placed my order from Works which would be in 10 weeks. But I also got myself Rennen Rims since they are local and make it in house. No real science to it. Hey If they did it in 1 week then they did it under one week. I'm not mad. Good for me, be on my side lol.
So that's it.

I don't really care, as the body work alone dictates what should be under the hood a near 600 rwhp Biturbo motor, ANY enthusiast will when they look @ your calipers/rotors. You obviously added the badges, you expect us to believe after paying $40k they're going to add badges you NEVER wanted as described in your earlier posts...
Thanks for the laughs

I think that 20k would be about right, the only real extensive body work looks to be the rear quarter pnels. I am curious if this kils fuel economy performance and your turning radius. I remember top gear saying the sl65 bs turns like a truck

One thing for sure, the quality and finish on your conversion is amazing!
That shop definately has skills.
Do you mind PM-ing me their phone #. I've been thinking of doing a mild flare on my fenders, only never found a shop that was qualified to do the work... till now that is.

Yo Mario, whats up with this? I check the dates "Last updated: Jan 31, 2010" and it looks like your car was converted a few months ago?? I take it the Ricker was right.

Well the rims do look different, Do you think he fabricated this whole thing? The timestamps on the photos checkout the same day he posted these pics on the forums.

Certainly looks that way, but maybe Mario could explain. Looks like he changed the rims and removed the trunk badges. I find it interesting that the car mario first posted and Sarona's car has PA plates and a sticker in the windshield (passenger side) same as Mario's car.

Saw the car at the Javits car show, the paint and finish looks better in the pictures than in person with a careful eye. Lots of orange peel not the smoothest finish, little bits of scraped paint where some body parts meet. For that amount of $ the paint should be flawless. The additional fenderwell pieces fill in the void where the stock pieces end, but they don't match 100% because they dont have the slits the original ones have. Nice but not worth 40K. My new 20 inch Savini wheels are more aggressive with deeper dishes and all chrome, not a mixture of aluminum and chrome.
