SL65 Black Series or Serious

Here are some pictures that I received from Sarona on the controversies of a Conversion kit. I think these guys did it to the T. Not my cup of tea on the wheels. But other than that. I think it's good.

This Car is based on a non AMG pre-2006 SL. It has the regular SL taillights as Charles Said. The exhaust is not a replica of the BS one.It has a different shape. They wanted to do like on some Porsche exhaust, with two pipes in one

What a blasphemous turd. With all the money spent on bondo, body kits and wheels they could have bought a used SL65BS in a year or so.

I am very interested in this kit and talking to Sarona via email daily...the wheels are an issue and I'm trying to get them to provide what the options are for wheels as they come with the package of 40K turnkey.

well this conversion is what $40K? You can buy a used 2003 SL at a dealership for under $25K. Unless in 2 years a used SL65 black series is $70K or under, this conversion is still more worth it.

I think the exhaust can easily be fix, a lot of people add tips to their exhaust.

You can re-use your current set of wheels (in previous pix they just use huge custom spacers, easily made any wheel shop) tho in this abomination they just got much wider wheels frnt/rear

I seriously doubt you will be able to buy a SL65BS for less then 100K in any of our lifetimes. Also, talk to them over at Sarona, they don't use spacers...special fitments for the kit...see wheels above...you will have to like deep dish...I know those black wheels are hot...I'm so close to doing this...stay tuned.

At the end of the day, you will be left with a 25k SL with a very expensive body kit and expensive mechanical and electronic repairs waiting to happen. You will not have a 70k vehicle on your hands.

"expensive mechanical and electronic repairs waiting to happen."

What do you mean by that?
