Wow man, chill out. I simply read that your calipers were ground and it was unclear in that post what the specifics were. Nobody called anyone a liar. Instead of insinuating that I was calling you a liar, you could've just clarified that, while they are shaved down, it was not done by you. Drink a beer man.
I don't think you were too far off with Mr. GFear........I found his ad on eBay for his wheels and tires...Look in the ad and he states that he is running spacere on that SL55. Who's a liar ???? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

The wheels in that ebay ad are different that GFEAR's. They're close, but he has ISS wheels, those are not. Damn close though.

You're right ! I love the wheels ! I was wanting to do them on my CL55 but it seems that the CL won't hold the width that your SL's will.......Sorry

hi guys,
quick question
can you guys give me the full spec of what setup every1 tends to run on the SL55?
width of wheel, which tyre size/profile , and thier ETs for the FRONT AND REAR.
i am looking to order a set but wanted to get a feel of what every1 has.
please post pics of your stance as well.
Regards

...the only thing i can think of is the wheel centers dont curve around the rear calipers enough that the only way to keep them from hitting is to space it out a hair. do you have a close up of the wheel on the back where you can see the brake clearance.
this is why they make some wheels in 11 wide and some on 10.5, its all about the rear spoke shape

Thanks for the help guys.

Clay: +1 on the increased negative camber will clear your tire when you drop it some more. If you still rub, you may need a tire with a more rounded sidewall. You look close enough where cambering looks like it will clear the tire.

Been said already but i'll say it again, once you lower it more with the negative camber it will tuck right in. When I put the wheels on (20x11 305/25) my car was in the raised mode and they stuck out I thought they weren't going to tuck under the fender. Once I let the car settle in Sport II it tucked right in. My Falkens are a bit more boxy so I do have a very slight rub on the driver side but only on really big dips. Like you, I hate that! so i'm going to get that fender rolled a tad.
