what's the point?

maybe i'm wrong but isn't the supercharger the choke point. if it's gonna put out X pounds of boost no matter what, then what effect does a bigger intake or throttle body have?

full disclosure: i got a CF airbox but it's also b/c i really like the look

I've often worndered about the above as well...I see on your build thread you have those two carbon intake tubes listed as a mod you want to do...I asked around about that and was told those only work with the E55 cars and not our SL55's ...did you get those to work on your car...? Is there a source for these intake tubes for our SL55 if not what you have pictured (looks like the VRP intake tubes)...

i ordered them from Eurocharged. they say they're for the sl55 so i'm assuming they'll fit. i'll let you know when they arrive. i got them mainly for the look for the reason mentioned above. if they do increase hp then it's a bonus.

i'm surprised more people haven't chimed in with all the knowledge i've seen here. wether i'm right or wrong i just want the truth

sounds good please let me know on those...I asked VRP a while back and something about the length of the intake tubes on the SL55 are different than the E55, could be differences in the shape also since the engine bay and core supports are not the same with different chassis, the dimensions are different ...
