Looks great - be careful
Looks great g-baby.. However, be careful not to scratch the car / create swirls using the cali duster.. there was a discussion in the e-class forum and some guys scratched/created swirls to their cars using it..

Its a car duster. Because of the many bristles many are afraid of the swirls it might create.
i think www.calcarduster.com should provide some more information.

I'd say your garage is overdue for a clear out
(and no, I'm not going to post pictures of mine - it's one of my special skills finding space for just one more box of unallocatable junk which hasn't been opened since the last house move...)

morebhp,
Which blue is that, orion or capri? Did you get the pano roof? If so, could you submit a side shot of the car? I am partial to blue and am leaning towards choosing it.

It's the usual silver and black that are the most sellable cars.

If I look around the parking garage of the apartment complex I live in in London, 80% of the cars are Mercedes/BMW/Porsche and almost all of those are silver, black or dark blue - a representative sample of the more conservative end of the market.
You hardly ever see a red Mercedes here, especially the larger cars, and although red is the most popular colour here across all car sales, I think it's out of fashion among up-scale cars. Red used to be the de-facto choice for Porsche and Ferrari but no more. And some cars look terrible in it (IMHO) - a red 456? CL? No thanks... I think even a red SL is dancing on dangerous ground.
As for some of the other colours in the Mercedes pallette, forget those too. Before I bought my BLUE SL600, there was a lilac fully loaded '600 with brown interior on the dealer lot. It was there for months... if I had been that dealer, I would have left the keys in the ignition and started hoping...

Just saw a Capri blue SL500 with stone interior. Gorgeous car. I have a hard time believing that its resale value will be harmed because of the color. Poor soul has a parking ticket waiting for him though.
Completely agree with blueSL regarding red.

I guess when it comes to selling I will be looking for someone wanting blue who will have less choice and hence less negotiating leverage - supply and demand I hope! Obviously possibly less buyers to aim for but demand for the SL55 remains strong.
