SL55 Long Tube header update
So I bought this SL55. Part of the reason was to Make some headers. Well I was beaten to the punch.. We had a guy come in the other day, he wanted the long tubes. So we are using his car for the R&D and fitment. Its kind of nice not using my cars for a change.
The currant 55k LT headers would have fit if Mercedes had contoured the heat shield better. under the car. Its crazy. One could simply bang in with a hammer the heat shield and the headers would fit. There is an empty void in the area that in in question. So.... Rather than take a hammer to anything. We are adjusting the current set to fit seamlessly.
Unfortunately, this car we car using has some mods. No exhaust mods though. So baseline gains over stock will have to wait until my car gets them put on.
So look for the SL55 LT header to hit the market within the next week, if not sooner.
