2004 SL55 AMG K1

Kleemann Upgrades

I am looking to add the Kleemann ECU and exhaust/headers to my SL55. Does anyone know the HP and performance improvements I should see? I have been told the Exhaust is a night and day difference.

I went thru this a couple of months ago. I looked at all the tuners and then looked at the support I was going to get from my local MB dealership. Long story short - my dealer supports Renntech so my decision was easy. Oh and the ECU/Pullery ROCKS. Headers to be done end of this month at my next service...

I have both Renntech and Kleeman options at my dealer, but the Kleemann product seems much more bang for the buck.

Kleeman exhaust is actually Kleeman headers and the primary cat delete. The headers are a mid lengths (a cross between aftermarket long tube and shorties).

Overall gain will be about 40hp/40trq

2004 SL55 AMG K1

Went to have my ECU pulled to send to Kleemann to be upgraded, and the MB dealer found a damaged spot on the ECU and doesnt think Kleemann will be able to update. I hope my Extended Warranty will cover it!
