1st Place in Mercedes Category at RPM CHICAGO CAR SHOW
Hey,
I decided to hook up with a local tuner shop out here in Chicago and go out to the RPM Car Show. I took first place in the Mercedes Category, this would make it my 2nd show, at MIDWEST VOLKFEST I took BEST OTHER EURO trophy. Time to represent Mercedes Boys. Here are a few pictures so far of what I could find on the forum. Great show with over 300 cars that entered. I will post more pictures as soon as there are more around the internet.

Of course a custom nice subtle color would be great however the resale value of the car would be much greater so I would not mess with the color at all. The only other option is to wrap the entire car so that you can pull off the wrap when you decide to get rid of it, it also protects your original paint. If it was me I would leave the color alone, but everyone is different. As far as body kits go, I think that the SL has a great body structure as is, the only thing that I like is the Black Series kit which is way over priced, and the Prior Design kit. You can keep it OEM and just change out the rear bumper and do a swap for the new front end if you really like it. I think some wheels a nice drop and a few added items here and there would be perfect. Keeping this car clean is the way to go.

SL55 AMG
car stands really aggressive and the wheels have nice centers, and the cosmetic mods here and there make a nice accent and tone...but just that rear wheel poking out there, maybe it works for the blingy show crowd dunno ... personally if I were to go with a very aggressive wheel fitment, I would camber the wheel and tuck it slightly with an eye on the inside of the tire for rubbing.
