HRE's on my SL55
Man its about time I got some nice wheels. Now I just need to lower it and we are all good. Here are some crappy cell phone pics, I got some real camera pics on the way. So I'm just waiting for them in my in-box. Hope you guys like them.

I'm just happy the biggest Mod $$$ wise is out of the way. I have to have this car track ready by mid October when it officially cools off. Its going to be a busy few months in the MBH/DC work shop.

We weighed the stockers vs the HRE's I can't remember what the fronts weighed, but we saved 1lb up front on each wheel. The rear wheels, HRE and stock weighed 60lbs with tires. But adding 2 more inches of wheel along with a 305 rear tire, sounds better to me.
I dove about 35 miles on them to my house. I couldn't event tell they were on there, so Ride quality was just as nice as the stock wheels... So far

well done. split 5 or 6, 7, 8 on the SL is like melted butta on bread!
Now make sure you have a something to clean inside the spokes like a boars hair long brush...on polished wheels it can be more of a chore than cleared centers though

At the shop there was always one of these wheels on display. I told Rich, Owner of DC, I wanted those wheels. He made phone call to HRE, and it just so happened they had a set for the SL55 in stock. It was just a matter of freeing the money up to dump in a set of wheels.

We dont go to the Pavilions, but I've been there once. Rich the owner of DC, my brother who has a CLS55, and myself hang out a lot. You can find us On Friday and Saturday night. Anywhere from Old Town to North Scottsdale as long as the place isn't to snobby.

HRE's are some nice wheels I have 547R's on my corvette. If you like the 547's or the 547R's, FWIW, A company called CCW Wheels (down here in FL) has a nice light wheel that looks Exactly like the the 547 but without the studs, which actually make it easier to clean. Owner is John and he is a class act.

The CCW wheels are very nice too. They look like the newer HRE 897R !!
I'm still saving my money up for some................

CCW wheels on an SL ...look at my sig lol CCW is a great lightweight forged wheel which looks great and offers perfromance. I have 8.5 F and 10.5 R which is optimal for plus sizing and performance.
