2003 SL55 Right Front Strut needed

All, I would appreciate any help in locating a good deal for my 2003 SL55 right front strut which is leaking. I have been quoted $1,400 just for the part and wonder if there are other sources worth checking out? Thanks!!

champ these are major bucks...however they are covered under warranty inc extended varients. We are talking anywhere from $1400 - 1600 per corner...I think the lowest I've seen one for the 55k has been $1200...

I'd be interested to know a source for parts for my SL55 as well...although I have a service contract, it never hurts to know more.

Found 4Mercedes out of Florida that refurbishes struts and other parts. The base cost is $950 including shipping and they will rebate you $150 if you return your old strut...thus the total including shipping with a 1 year warranty came out to $800. The next cheapest new was parts.com for roughly $1200. They shipped same day. I will let you know how it went.
