Who sells MB keys the cheapest?

Looking to get another key for my SL who sells them the cheapest out of the dealerships etc? I already have an updated new style key so just looking for whatever would be the cheapest for an extra key.
Thanks
Justin

Same question for within the Los Angeles area. Right now, MB Manhattan Beach is suggesting $325+tax

Thanks,

Tirreno

Yeah, I paid that for the wireless "credit card" transponder for the keyless go at Rusnak in Pasadena, and around $200 and something for the key (and $60 for the little key that fits inside the key)... After all this, I found the "credit card" on Ebay for $75!!!! Arrg

Yeah but i heard those Keyless go cards can not be reprogrammed to another car but thats what MB told me probably lying. Last key i got with the key blade & newer style key with the chrome on it was $175-180 with my wholesale account.

$325 is about the right price for a key with the Keyless Go transmitter (in addition to programming, which is usually 1/2 hour of labor). You can order a key without the Keyless Go functionality, and it will function just like a normal key would, for less than $100 at the dealer. All keys will work as normal keys without any extra programming, provided that they were ordered with the correct VIN.

Just called my dealer $188 with the key blade for new style chrome key and this is not a keyless go key. Also this is on my wholesale account but this dealer is not that great i get better deals online it seems most the time.

You can't buy keys online so don't waste your time and money. 188 is a good price for a key.

Just came back from my dealer where I had ordered the ($350+) keyless go for my 2005 SL55 AMG... To my surprise, they pulled out the old-style black key, with no chrome on it... They are saying this is the key for this car. The new style is for more recent SL's. I didn't take the key and told them I'll check that for myself...

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Tirreno.

They're correct. 2005's get the lighter, smaller, all-black keys.

Justin,

Did you get a chrome Keyless Go for your 2003 SL55?

Thanks,

Tirreno

Here is a thread from another board that suggests the opposite, at least for a 2005 SL500. Not sure if it would work for the 2005 SL55 AMG.

Where do you order the chrome Keyless Go key from? My dealer told me that the place in Dallas where all orders are coming from has a huge stock of black ones they need to sell before they release the chrome ones...
