SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Operation WIDEBODY IN FULL EFFECT!

The thing about this kit is that it makes the car look "kitted" meaning you can tell this in an aftermarket kit, kinda like it's trying too hard in a slight way. In addition there are tons of louvers, fit and finish issues, as well as the stance and overall presentation of the vehicle from what folks have suggested. the Subtleties are the toughest part to get right. I dunno I do like the 65 BS, it flows...it doesn't look "kitted" and not at all boy racer-ish. You know that car belongs with that style and look and the body is 100% functional as designed by MB engineers...
I dunno maybe on a black car these issues won't be nearly as prevelent![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)

My personnel opinion is that the Kit looks GREAT

I just hope it turns out well for the investment it costs.

In all seriousness guys...the car looks good it just looks like it's trying slightly too hard...a lot going on there in that kit, louvers, slits, etc,,,etc...it looks strikingly aftermarket. A widebody kit is a VERY hard thing to get spot on right, it ussually takes several renditions and tweaking and kits are mainly designed for a purpose. Most functional kits are comisioned by firms who build race cars, think Prodrive or Pratt Miller here...the whole concept of a widebody is to gain ceratin properties a narrow body car would not have such as greater track width, larger tires, or greater downforce through channeling on diffusing air for example within a racing series to push the envelope of certain rules of that series. The kit then becomes a functional part of the aero properties of the vehicle and is tunnel tested.

That actually looks surprisingly sinister in silver. Can't wait to see what your black beast evolves into. The dish on those rears is pure sex.

those wheels are pretty sweet looking, the big complaint I have had on most of these conversions is the wheels, they usually make me want to throw up a little

V12-Biturbo
The SL500 above INMOP look's to be FLAT BLACK not Matte/Satin Black, it makes it look flat/dull/nearing primer color (I believe that was/is their intent on that build as they were going for Military Stealth Fighter color theme..)

Rick, I think you might want to consider a color change. That kit looks pretty sick in a matte finish with glossy carbon fiber accents.

You have to see Alubeam in the flesh. Pictures don't do it justice. I've seen the anniversary CL65 in Alubeam and that was stunning.
Either that, or they didn't apply the paint properly in this case ;-)

The Alubeam on Cyan 740i's build looks awesome so far!
