The numbers are pretty similar:
Brabus with 730HP and 800 torque (detuned from 1000)
Renntech with 704HP and 910 torque
...so the question is which one do you prefer?
i saw top gear and Clarkson said Brabus cannot put it to the ground
does anybody have any first hand experience to the contrary?
can Renntech sustain the power?
how realistic are they for daily drivers?
from my understanding, and the posts i have read, everybody that has tuned with Renntech are very satisfied with the performance.
also the Renntech catalog prices it at $15790 while Brabus' price is significantly higher...after installing the pkg 3, are there any other changes that must be made?
any info is appreciated

Well, if one of the two were to be given to me as a gift (I'm not picking up the tab), I would have no problem in choosing..;Originally Posted by eleven

Brabus, thank you very much!
Considering that Brabus have made so many more changes, I think that one is more of a complete package.
And by comparing the prices of the two, it kind of speaks for it self.
As they say, "You get what you pay for..."
But if I had to pay up myself, I'm not that sure anymore.
I mean, I'm not sure that the difference in price can be supported...

MBWorld Fanatic!
Brabus = overpriced, and on several instances have shown to have breakdowns, even on top gear Clarkson kept having issues with the Brabus...
Renntech still is expensive for bolt on performance and tune.
think about this, all that power and tq is pointless if you cannot translate it to the ground. these cars, esp v12tt cars that's the achillies heel there.
I'm interested in 1/4 mile for performance on these heavy cars...on the highway the 65 has legs and can pull hard on a higher roll-on. but from a dig or from low speeds that's when the problems start - to harness that kind of power you need a 4-link and panhard bar or watts link to locate the rear under load.
IMO Speedriven is best!
