SL55/63/65/R230 AMG: Too many miles for mods?

Too many miles for mods?
I was wondering how many miles on the car would considerd to many to mod an Sl55. Ive got an 04 Sl with almost 26k mi on it. I know coming from Porsches some of the more reputable tuners advise the car should'nt have no more than 30k on it. Is thier a number for the Sl's. Was thinking about an ecu/pulley upgrade.

number of miles and how/when to mod have no bearing if the car is well maintained. Modding will not harm, a car, what it will do in many cases is show what problems are already in the car proir to the mod a bit more quicker and easier. Also keep in mind things like warranty and such. Modding may effect that but with these cars almost everything is bolt on or ECU related so that makes mods alterable after the fact. good luck.
