I just installed them on my '07. I didn't have to remove the wheels, but they are installed from inside the fender. You remove the lower bolt, upper nut and then the 2 plastic pins to be able to pull away the fender liner.
If anyone tries this on an 07 or 08, pm me and I'll finish the steps. Once you receive the new ones you'll see how they are attached.

Finished 07 side marker install
Pics attached. Love the look on my color car. Also attached is a pic from the inside showing the phillips head screw that holds the side marker on. You can not "snap" the side marker off the 07. You have to remove the wheel and a few of the screws from the inside liner to get to the screw. Still, I did the whole thing in less than an hour for both sides.
