Aftermarket Warranty for USED 2004 SL55 which one is the best?
I am looking to buy warranty for my 2004 sl55. A company called National Auto Care "Pinnacle" is offering full factory like bumper to bumper coverage with the rates below.

the prices look very good, but only if the company is respectable.
OP, where did you get the quote? I'm thinking about switching to an S600 and would need a warranty.

Wow, those prices are very very good... Guardian insurance quoted $4,250 for my SL500, 3 years 36,000 miles. I'd jump on that 60 month deal right now if they offered it to me and they were a reliable company.

I went to the National Care website and it said the Pinnacle warranty can be written for cars 3yrs old and newer, I would check this. I went with Fidelity, their best coverage, 7yrs, 70,000 miles, 100 deductible for 4400. I have a 2007 SL55, 10,000 miles on it. I did alot of research and was turned down by alot of programs. Good luck.

I purchased a warranty from CNA a few months ago on an 04, and mine was $2000 for 24 months or 12,000 Miles. This is a 2nd car for me, so I didnt need a lot of mileage coverage. They may have larger warranties, but you do have to go through a dealer to get the warranty. All I had to do was supply the dealer with an inspection form, and he was able to get me the warranty without taking him the car. I have already had a couple claims, and they have been no problem and very quick to pay the claims.

I just bought a 2006 SL65 (32,000 miles) and would like to get an aftermarket warranty as well. I need it to be valid both in the US and in Canada since I live in Canada. Any input would be much appreciated.

Only original manufacturers warranty 4 yr 50k is transferable to canada...Nothing available for extended coverage in Canada. I have researched this years ago when I bought my first benz. Since I have a home in Fl I will keep my next Benz titled in the state and not worry about warranty issues up North for the 3 months of driving time I get there lol..

I did contact MB in Canada and the MB warranty is only transferrable if the vehicle was in warranty in the US when purchased AND it was purchased from either an MB dealer or from a private individual --- if you buy a Benz from a dealer other than a MB dealer, the existing warranty is not transferrable. Of course, you have to get the car "re-certified" by MB Canada if you want to transfer the warranty and pay a pretty hefty fee for it -- surprise, surprise 
However, what I am researching is a good third party warranty that works both in Canada and the USA -- any thoughts on that would be great!

I can get you quotes for excellent coverage from NAC and Fidelity. NAC is good in Canada as well as USA. Just email me your VIN# and current odometer reading to brucem105@comcast.net and I can reply with information, quotes, etc.
NAC does not sell directly. The quotes you got are likely from Contego Direct, who pastes screen shots from another NAC reseller as they have been de-authorized and given a cease and desist letter from NAC. I would not trust those quotes, they are very low and in any case I would not buy from someone not authorized to sell the warranties.

I have sold a few warranties to folks on the board, let me know if you want a quote, my coverage with 100 deduct should beat the above prices by a sizable margin
