According to the AMG website a few months ago the SL65 roadster was being discontinued as of August as a 2011 model and if you wanted one you needed to order it immediately.
"Please be advised that we are approaching the end of production for the R230 SL65 AMG model.
Due to changes in certification regulations, the final month of production for this model will be August, 2010. After this, the R230 SL65 AMG will be discontinued for the remainder of the R230 lifecycle.
If you are interested in placing an order for the 2011 SL65 AMG with your dealer, it will need to be done without delay.

But today the MBUSA website still shows and specifically describes a 2011 SL65 as being available still.
Was the the announcement that they were terminating the SL65 just a trick to sell the remaining SL65s?
