Steering wheel controlled ELM now available!!
As some or most of you know I've worked in conjunction with Loweringmodule.com to help bring a new style of lowering module to the Mercedes market. I'm happy to report the new lowering module called the "M1" is now available!
Overview:
This new style of ELM lets you control and adjust your ride right from the convince of your steering wheel. While displaying your right high settings on your instrument cluster. The M1 creates a new scroll though menu that is easily accessed though a simple prompt. The M1 brings a level of convenience, and stealth to the lowering module market. No more remotes, no more laptops to adjust your ride hight.
You can make adjustments for the front and rear of the car independently. If you desire the front to be lower than the back you can easily call up a setting to meet your ride hight needs. If you need want your car slammed for a car show. It can all be done with some simple touching of the steering wheel. Same goes if you desire your car to be in 4x4 mode for those construction zones that seem to be popping up in random locations.
The lowering module is available though loweringmodule.com the retail price is $1695. However I have worked out a deal with loweringmodule.com to offer you the M1 at $1495 with a coupon code MBH-FHF
Cost: $1695
MBH Motorsports special pricing is $1495*
* special pricing requires the use of MBH Motorsports coupon code MBH-FHF... Please Note: The code is case sensitive
To order the M1 please go here and enter coupon code MBH-FHF to save $200
NOTE: this works with all Airmatic and ABC Mercedes. EXCEPT 2003 SL's

That's some cool stuff... I notice in your video comments you mention you'll be shooting another video showing the ride heights. Could you also show the install process? BTW, what do you set the factory suspension at (no lights/lights) and is it even functional? Sorry if I missed that in the video.

The "M1" ELM sounds like an amazing product. To control and adjust the ride height from the convenience of your steering wheel is the way the SL should have came stock. I'll probably be adding this mod in the near future!

This ELM is the last thing I think about. I set the ride hight and forget about it. It never does something I don't want it to do. With +/- totaling 17 settings. Including slammed, stock, 4x4 and anything in between. I keep my SL55 at -6 front and -6 rear. No need to ride around on the bump stops. However if thats your thing, you can do it. I find that at the -6 setting you can get a fantastic look and with a quick touch of the raise the car button on your center console. You can clear those pesky speed bumps in the parking lot. Without scraping your front end or under side of your car.
I do alot of driving in my SL. Lately I've been wanting comfort when bombing around town. So, I've found myself leaving the car at -6 and driving around with the factory lift button on. Then when I pull into a place, I shut the factory lift button off and the car gets slammed.
I run 20" HRE's and have no issues with rubbing at any of the ride heights.
The best way I can describe the M1 is... It's kind of like a Sleep Number bed you see on TV. There is a setting or combination of settings for just about everyone. So its a matter of finding yours. Do you desire looks, comfort, or a combination of the two? You can Independently set the front and rear to any setting. If you like the front to be lower than the rear or vice versa, you can do it.
Its also super stealth. Some times folks swap cars, because they need to borrow a friend's truck or something for the day. You can put it back to stock with few touches of the buttons. You won't have to worry about your buddy messing up your car over a speed bump.
One thing I need to try is the is how the M1 settings are married to set keys. For the longest time I could not find my spare key. Then it turned up durring a recent house cleaning. I'll test it out today. The capabilities of the M1 ELM claim that the ride hight settings are Key specific. Meaning, if your wife has a set ride hight she likes that differs from yours. The key she has will overide your setting and convert to hers. This means, If she's going shopping in your car, you don't have to set the car up for her so she is comfortable. Thats assuming they don't know how to use the ELM in the first place.
Another nice note you don't need a PC tablets, Laptops or anything like that in your car to use the device. One less thing in your car for a thief to steel. We carry the complete line of loweringmodule.com's ELM. They are also available though Speedriven, ACG, and of course Dyno-Comp. For anyone in the Arizona area that would like to see a live demo of the M1 contact Dyno-Comp. We have V2 ELM's with remote, M1's, Carlsson ELMs, and others. Alot of these are in stock at Dyno-Comp and loweringmodule.com

I like what the M1 has to offer and it seems to be a very unique mod. I don't have it yet, but I'm very interested in it and it's on my wish list for a future mod.

4 wheel alignment needed when changing ridehight
I just want to information you, that when you have decided for a particular ridehight of your car, you need to do a 4 wheel alignment of your car! So you can't just change ridehight of your choice every day as pleased, without the wheel alignment.
I did the that mistake, and it coated a set of tires!!!
